What Is

Glutathione (GSH), is a powerful antioxidant. Naturally produced by the liver, can also be found in plants, animals, and fungi. Glutathione is involved in many processes of the body, including immune support, tissue building/repair, and making chemicals/proteins needed in the body. This antioxidant is capable of preventing damage to cellular components caused by reactive oxygen species such as free radicals, peroxides, lipid peroxides, and heavy metals. Its levels decrease as a result of aging, stress, and toxin exposure. Boosting glutathione may provide many health benefits including oxidative stress.
